Partnership Nurses Recognized for Excellence in Caring for Mothers and Children

We know that our nursing staff go above and beyond the call of duty providing health services including education and support to our clients. Now echoing the same sentiment about our staff, are leaders in the field of nursing and health care.

Two members of the Partnership nursing team have been selected as finalists for the 2017 New Jersey March of Dimes (MOD) Nurse of the Year Community Health Category: Amber Rabines, program manager, Fetal Infant Mortality Review, (the Partnership works with our partner hospitals to assist families who have experienced an infant loss and to gather information which may help prevent future infant deaths in NJ) and Nelly Quinones program supervisor, Nurse-Family Partnership Bergen/Passaic, (part of a national initiative, our nurse home visitation program supports new moms and their children for the first two years of the child’s life).

More than 200 nurses were nominated in a dozen categories. Of those nominated, applications were reviewed and scored by high ranking nurse leaders. Only five per category were selected to be finalists.

The winners in each category will be announced at the MOD Nurse of the Year Awards Gala on November 15, 2017 at the Grand Marquis in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Follow the link for more information and to purchase tickets:  http://bit.ly/2yRBGaj

Proceeds from the Nurse of the Year Awards will directly benefit the March of Dimes mission to have every baby born strong and healthy. The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. The Partnership is a nonprofit public health organization whose mission is to prevent infant death, childhood fatalities and maternal mortality.  Since 1992, we have served moms and their families covering eight northern New Jersey families.
